Job Purpose
Participate in the planning, implementation, expansion, coordination, and management of APIR TURKANA’s AEP activities in Kakuma and Lodwar offices.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide leadership in both Lodwar and Kakuma offices
- Coordinating program activities
- Facilitate and oversee the development process of the Project proposal.
- Effectively handle any changes to the program scope, schedule, and costs.
- Maintain professional communication and relationships with current and potential funding partners.
- Provide support for office operations, management of programme team, delegate assignments and ensure that policies, formats procedures and systems are known and implemented correctly.
- Play a key role in quality assurance and smooth implementation of the program.
- Prepare monthly updatesto share with the Executive Director.
- Conduct periodic field visits to monitor the progress of projects and develop action plans for successful project completion.
- Collaborate closely with the MEARL department to ensure effective communication of project achievements.
- Overall responsible for meetings internal and external deadlines.
- Assist in developing adequate Terms of Reference (ToRs) for evaluations under the program.
Job Specification and desirable skills
- Relevant University Degree in Education, project management, business administration, social work.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, with a strong preference for experience from a Humanitarian environment.
- Practical work experience in implementing funded projects.
- Demonstrable experience in project cycle management
- Have undergone leadership training of not less than 6 months
- Strong computer skills in basic standardized software (Excel, Word, PDF, SPSS etc.).
